The mission of Southwest Strong is to bring businesses and organizations located in Southwest Philadelphia together to secure resources and revitalize the community. Southwest Strong aims to do the following.

1.Organize the beautification efforts in SW Philadelphia

• Neighborhood cleanup days

• Planting roses to make Woodland Ave known as "Woodland the Avenue of Roses."

• Identify green spaces

• Community Art

2.Promote area businesses through

• Word of mouth

• Online and social media

• Southwest Strong members discount card

3.Provide financial education lessons

• Budgeting

• Credit counseling

• Providing connections to other financial resources

4.Provide small business development lessons

• Partner with community organizations for business development workshops

5. To use the collective power of the group to secure resources

• Secure funding to inject into a local business

• Health benefits
